Glenn and I did a business agreement over Yahoo Chat, that went like this:
Glenn: Hey steve
Steve: what?
Glenn: check out this scanner software I wrote.
Steve: (after about 15 minutes) Cool. If I market it, you want to split everything we make?
Glenn: ok.
Three years later, a zillion customers all over the world and crazy cash flow, it's still just Glenn and i, and still just a simple agreement: split everything.
